Katherine Ward
Operating Partner, HealthTech
Katherine has more than 30 years of healthcare leadership experience across the NHS, UnitedHealth Group/Optum, and healthtech startups.
Previously Chief Commercial Officer at Healthy.io, she joined pre-Series A and helped scale the business through to Series D. Before that, she served as Chief Growth Officer for Optum’s International business.
At Oxford Science Enterprises, Katherine is an Operating Partner focused on venture building from an operational perspective – working with founders to develop investment-ready business cases and helping them scale and function. She originally joined OSE as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence in 2023 before becoming Operating Partner in 2024.
Katherine began her career in NHS management and holds a degree in Classics from King’s College, Cambridge, and a Master’s in Social Policy from the University of Bristol.
