Andrew Straiton
Associate, Deep Tech
Andrew works with founders and academics to build new businesses, supporting opportunity sourcing, due diligence, and venture-building activities across the Deep Tech portfolio. He combines deep technical expertise in chemistry and materials science with commercial and business strategy experience to support both new and existing companies.
He joined in 2025 from Bain & Company, where he advised corporate clients in the energy and industrial goods sectors, with a focus on growing emerging business units. He previously completed a PhD in Inorganic Materials Chemistry at the University of Bath, developing materials for automotive applications, and worked in R&D at specialty chemicals company Infineum.
Andrew holds an MChem from the University of York.
