Andrew Straiton
Senior Associate, Deep Tech
Andrew works with founders and academics to build and back new businesses, from opportunity sourcing, due diligence, and investment, to working closely with portfolio companies to help them grow and succeed. He combines deep technical expertise with commercial and business strategy experience to support our companies.
He joined in 2025 from Bain & Company, where he advised corporate clients in the energy and industrial goods sectors, with a focus on growing emerging business units. He previously completed a PhD in Inorganic Materials Chemistry at the University of Bath, developing materials for automotive applications, and worked in R&D at specialty chemicals company Infineum.
Andrew holds an MChem from the University of York.
