Katherine joined Oxford Science Enterprises in October 2023 as a permanent Entrepreneur in Residence. This involves identifying new transformational business opportunities in the HealthTech space and working to spin out companies, essentially catalysing pioneering research and steering it to commercial success.
She joins after 6 years as the Chief Commercial Officer of Healthy.io, the first healthtech company in the world to be CE accredited and FDA approved for using the smartphone camera as a clinical grade diagnostic device. Katherine has over 30 years experience in healthcare with 11 years at UnitedHealth Group, latterly as Chief Growth Officer for Optum International. For 15 years prior to this, she worked in senior roles both with providers and payers in the NHS
