Innovation isn’t the problem in healthcare. Adoption is.
Katherine Ward has spent her career working at that intersection: where promising ideas meet the hard realities of regulation, workflow, and reimbursement. From her early days in the NHS to senior roles at UnitedHealth Group and Healthy.io, she’s seen what it takes to move innovation from pilot to practice.
At Healthy.io, she helped scale the company from pre-Series A through to Series D as Chief Commercial Officer, taking a smartphone-camera diagnostic from first product to clinical use. She saw it through regulatory approval, national NHS deployment, and expansion into the U.S. market, showing how disciplined execution can move digital health from pilot to deliver more than a million smartphone-enabled home-based diagnostic tests globally.
Prior to this, as Chief Growth Officer at Optum International, she led partnerships that leveraged best in class US health technology and data platforms to the UK, Brazil, Singapore, and Australia, adapting global technology to local health-system realities.
