Oxford Endovascular has developed a next-generation flow-diverting stent that redirects blood away from aneurysms at risk of rupture. Inspired by origami and engineered from aerospace-grade materials, the device is easier and safer to fit than existing options, reducing complications and helping prevent brain haemorrhage. Spun out of Oxford, the company is rethinking how we treat one of the most dangerous conditions in medicine.
