Evolito is making that possible. Spun out of EV motor pioneer YASA, which was bought by Mercedes-Benz in 2021, the company is bringing axial-flux motor technology to aviation. Evolito’s propulsion systems are designed for hybrid or all-electric fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters, cargo drones, eVTOL air taxis, and a range of other general aviation and commercial aviation applications.

Its motors and controller products are demonstrably superior to competitors, offering higher power and torque density, low cost of manufacture and ability to scale to volume, powering the next generation of all-electric aircraft.
