Oxford, UK – 19 June 2024 – Oxford Science Enterprises (OSE) today announces the appointment of Professor Dame Fiona Murray DCMG CBE and Professor Sir Peter Donnelly FRS FMedSci to its Board of Directors as independent Non-Executive Directors.

Professor Dame Fiona Murray is Associate Dean of Innovation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) School of Management and Professor of Entrepreneurship. Recognised as an international policy expert on global innovation, she serves on the UK Prime Minister’s Council on Science and Technology and is on the Board of the newly formed NATO Innovation Fund. Fiona was awarded a CBE (Commander of the British Empire) and later appointed a DCMG (Dame Commander) for her contributions to science, technology, innovation and entrepreneurship.

Professor Sir Peter Donnelly is a leading statistician and geneticist, whose academic career has spanned four decades, latterly as Professor of Statistical Science and Director of the Wellcome Centre for Human Genetics at the University of Oxford. He was knighted in 2019 for services to the understanding of human genetics in disease, is a Fellow of the Royal Society and the Academy of Medical Sciences and has received numerous awards for his work.
Peter is also a successful entrepreneur, having co-founded and served as CEO of Genomics plc, an Oxford spinout harnessing large-scale genetic information to develop innovative precision healthcare tools and advance drug discovery.
