Oxford, UK – 27 January 2025 – Oxford Science Enterprises (OSE) today announces the appointment of Karandeep Bhogal as the newest Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR) within its Deep Tech team.
Karandeep brings an impressive track record in driving transformative growth and innovation across leading technology companies. At electric vehicle manufacturer Arrival, he helped secure $110 million from Hyundai Kia Motor Co. and played a pivotal role in the company’s historic $13 billion NASDAQ listing in 2021 – the largest IPO in UK start-up history at the time.
Karandeep’s expertise spans technical and strategic leadership, with a proven ability to guide companies from R&D through to commercial production. He will focus on advancing OSE’s investment activity in the Energy & Mobility sector.
More recently, as Chief Programmes Officer at Oxfordshire-based battery technology company Nexeon, Karandeep was part of the leadership team that successfully closed a $170 million Series D funding round. He has also held key roles at Jaguar Land Rover, where he delivered design-led programmes and innovative product launches.
In his new role, Karandeep will support OSE’s Deep Tech team to identify new high-impact ventures – and ultimately co-found one – drawing on his experience scaling companies from R&D through to commercial production, with a particular focus on Energy & Mobility.
Sam Harman, Partner and Head of Deep Tech at OSE, said:
“We are thrilled to welcome Karandeep to OSE’s Deep Tech team. His experience in scaling groundbreaking technologies and building resilient businesses aligns with OSE’s mission to help grow companies that are solving the world’s most pressing challenges.”
