Founder and former CEO to apply expertise in AI and next-generation computing to co-found and scale a new venture within Oxford’s science ecosystem
Oxford, UK – October 2025 – Oxford Science Enterprises (OSE) has appointed Venetia Jennings as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR) within its Deep Tech team, focused on opportunities in AI and next-generation computing.
Venetia joins OSE with over a decade of experience spanning technology entrepreneurship and consulting. Most recently, she co-founded xcharta, a computer vision start-up focused on the precision extraction of numerical data from images. As CEO and CTO, she was responsible for developing the core technology and building the business.
Previously, Venetia was a Senior Manager at Bain & Company and an Associate at the prestigious law firm Slaughter and May. She holds an MSc in Computing from Imperial College London, an MA in Classics from Oxford University, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from BPP Law School.
