OSE welcomes Dr. Jeff Moore as Senior Partner, Head of Life Sciences
We’re delighted to welcome Dr. Jeff Moore to Oxford Science Enterprises as our new Senior Partner, Head of Life Sciences.
Jeff joins OSE at a moment of real momentum for our Life Sciences portfolio, which includes the exit of OSE-backed Dark Blue Therapeutics to Amgen in a deal worth up to $840m. Building on that momentum, Jeff will lead the strategy and growth of our life sciences investments.
He brings more than two decades of biotech venture capital leadership across North America and Europe. Most recently, he was President of Boston-based MP Healthcare Venture Management (MPH), where he led early-stage investments from scientific discovery through to exit, building an extensive network of co-investors worldwide.
A scientist by training – he holds a DPhil from Oxford and an MBA from MIT – Jeff specialises in spotting breakthrough academic research, often ahead of formal fundraising. His track record includes Covagen (acquired by Johnson & Johnson) and Trimtech Therapeutics, a Cambridge spinout that completed a £36m raise in June 2026, along with exits such as F-Star, Korro Bio, miRagen and Genocea, through pharma acquisition or Nasdaq listing.

Jeff succeeds Katya Smirnyagina, who is stepping back from her executive role after five years guiding the Life Sciences team and portfolio through significant growth. Katya will remain closely involved with OSE as an Advisor, offering strategic counsel and continuity across key portfolio companies.
