We’re delighted to welcome Antonia Jenkinson to Oxford Science Enterprises as our new Chief Financial Officer.
Antonia joins OSE at an exciting point in our journey. Over the past year, we’ve seen significant momentum across the portfolio, including our first $1bn unicorn exit with Oxford Ionics and the sale of Dark Blue Therapeutics to Amgen. As we move into a phase focused on portfolio maturation and value realisation, Antonia will play a central role in shaping and delivering our financial strategy.
Antonia brings deep experience across corporate finance, consultancy and leadership roles in innovation-driven organisations. She was most recently the founding Chief Finance & Operating Officer of ARIA, the UK government’s advanced research funding agency, where she helped deploy more than £450m into breakthrough science and technology.
Her experience spans both executive and non-executive roles, including supporting multiple successful exit transactions, and she has a strong understanding of the university innovation ecosystem that sits at the heart of OSE.
Antonia’s appointment comes as we continue to build on strong foundations, with a clear long-term strategy and a growing portfolio of companies tackling some of the world’s toughest challenges. We’re excited to be working with her as we enter this next phase.
Antonia succeeds Jim Wilkinson, who stepped down at the end of March after more than a decade with OSE. Jim joined at the very start of our journey in 2015 and has been instrumental in building the organisation, providing steady leadership and financial stewardship through both the start-up and scale-up years.
We would like to thank Jim for his outstanding contribution and commitment to OSE, and wish him every success in his next chapter.
